You’ll have to ask the adjuster, but most of the time, they pay the medical provider directly, after you submit the bills to them.

Answer by Tom Z
The chiropractor will likely bill your insurance carrier directly so payment will be made to him / her. If you are billed by the chiropractor you would have to submit the claim to the insurer and therefore the insurer would pay you.

Returned my Motor Vehicle plates to the DMV and Report to Town Tax Collector?

Canada asked: Returned my Motor Vehicle plates to the DMV and Report to Town Tax Collector?
I bought a 1996 truck (dodge) for my son in 2002 and was registered under my name. This year my son bought a new truck and I let him trade it in on the new one. Now the new truck is under my son name with new registrations. I returned the old plates to the DMV and they provided me with a STAMP document that the old registration plates were return to them. Also, it indicated that I should notify my town tax accessor to inform them that I no longer own the 1996 Dodge. So, I went to the town building with my DMV document and they will not accept that. They want to know where the truck is; Am I oblige by law to show them the trade in papers and let them know of my private affairs.
I thought that if you either get a new registration or retrun old plates the DMV notifies the town you live in. Please advice.

Thanks!

yes show them all the papers so this way this problem could be solve and you and your son could move on

Answer by luvaguyinuniform
Im confused as to why you need to notify them of anything. do you pay property taxes on your vehicles??

Answer by STEVEN F
If the car was traded to a dealership, they should handled all of that for you. That is what the “Documentation Fee” they usually charge is supposed to cover. Based on what you said, it looks like showing the paperwork to the town is the only way to stop paying property tax on the car.

No, but they can repossess it and sell it at auction.

Answer by src50
Repo-Charge-off-Collections-Judgment is the likely scenario. He’s going about “refinancing” very stupidly.

Answer by Dirty Dave
They can Repo it. Why don’t you just go to the finance company with or without your brother and try to work it out with them?

Answer by OC1999
First of all if you are trying to refinance a car no bank is going to refinance it if you are currently late. So your brother is using very bad logic and has backed himself into a corner.

If you don’t pay on the car the bank will Repo it. When they Repo the car that does not mean you no longer owe any money. They will sell the car at auction for a fraction of what it is worth. He will still be responsible for the difference between that and the loan balance, plus the fees involved in the repo and sale. If he does not pay that they could eventually take him to court for the amount.

Answer by ZOE m
no but the can repossess the car, or if you contact the finance company, they will normally enter back into repayments, i was in the same situation and i added the 3 missed payments onto the end of the finance. He needs to speak to them and they should be willing to help him out. Hope this helps.

Answer by bdancer222
Being 3 months late on the car payment certainly isn’t going to ‘make’ the lender refi that car. Your brother needs to pay up all the missed payments plus late fees before the lender just repos the vehicle.

Answer by Anjell
No because it’s not stolen, that’s what police deal with not lenders.
They’ll just repossess it and sell it for what they can. If there’s still more owing on the loan they’ll come after you for the balance.

What is your take?
