camaragrl asked:
I am thinking of moving to Halifax but saw on the job bank of canada’s website that most unskilled jobs(or any job really) pays quite low, from .00 to .00 an hour. Is that the average salary for everyone in Halifax?
My husband and I only have experience in customer service and basic office work. Can we live comfortably in Halifax with our job experience
? What kind of jobs/pay could we get?
Basically, I want to know if we could afford housing, car insurance, food, gas, healthcare etc. if we are both working and making around 10/h?

In my opinion it’s not enough to live on. I make /hr and I can barely make a living.
What do you think? Answer below!
halifax car insurance
don’t do it. you will be scaping together every penny you have. halifax has a high cost of living compared to everywhere i’ve been, and yes, you can’t expect more than $8-$9 hr if you are not a “professional”. i could go on, but it gives me a headache, i have grown to hate my hometown.
