are these plans for people who make money? i don’t make that much, but i have to have health insurance. is the hdhp the same price as a traditional plan and the hsa is whatever extra you have…my traditional plan now with assurant is way too high.

Truthfully I don’t know much about those plans, but my dad does own a small business and has to purchase health insurance for our family.
He got the best prices by calling an agent and having them give him quotes. You will have to meet with the person, but we would just call one of the people who sells multiple kinds of plans… like BCBS, United Health, HealthLink, etc… you get the point. Anyway, they are pretty desperate to sell anything right now so they found him some pretty good deals.
Online tended to be the crappiest deals… aimed at the people who didn’t want to actually take the time to do any research. But there are lots of people out there who want to sell you insurance, and they will try to find you a deal you can afford and they can sit down and explain all of the options.
